“Our God” by Chris Tomlin and Matt Redman

First of all, this song is still #1 on the Christian music iTunes chart, which is saying something. I realize that anything Chris Tomlin and Matt Redman do (individually or together because they are both amazing writers and worship leaders), especially with the Passion brand backing them, will have first shot at the charts. But, I think this one is very deserving.

‘Our God’ is a really good worship song. The lyrics are simple, but not trite, and the melodies are pretty strong throughout the song. In fact, I feel like the bridge melody tops even the hook, the chorus. Anyway, I’ve been playing this song at my church the past couple of weeks and have had a good response.

If you are not familiar with this song then you are in for a treat!  Check out this video…It puts the song to some pretty amazing looking pictures.

Well, I digress. Give this song a listen, and if you’re up for it, learn to play it. I strip it down to it’s essentials, so it should be manageable for any level of player.
