When I was in college back in Tennessee I became friends with a guy that had the same passion and desire that I had for leading worship and ministering to people. You may have heard of the band “Fee” before or maybe you have not. If you have, you probably know that the lead singer’s name is Steve Fee.
On many occasions I co-led worship with Steve on campus or around our small college town and have always had great respect for Steve and everything he has done over the years. I remember when he got the gig of leading the Passion Tour in our senior year of college (or maybe the year after…) and how exciting it was. Well, fast forward 10 years or so and Steve and his band are doing great, playing all over the world, and writing great worship songs.
And the best part about it, all the success hasn’t changed Steve one bit. He’s still the genuine, awesome, hilarious, and Christ-centered guy he was back when we were leading worship together in a small house with no air conditioning and 100 people jammed in it like sardines.
Here’s an interview with Steve that I think is worth watching…and if you hadn’t heard of him or his music before now you have
This week I’m going to be doing a lot of filming and I’ll be teaching you guys at least one of Steve’s more popular songs so be on the lookout for that in the next couple weeks.

Gotta say, after reading not even half of this posting, I want nothing to do with you Christians. I had heard that there was some big wig rockstar who got busted for banging someone else, and that there was a message board reaming him and ridiculing him over it.
Who the (obscenity) do you people think you are? You’ll all burn in hell with me. Your sins are far worse than that of a humbled man – how dare any of you to judge this man.
Didn’t you send your precious savior to be completely tortured and hung for hours to find some hope? Or was that “beating to a pulp” only for those of you who have ever jerked off at your mother’s Cosmo magazine?
I hope if Fee ever cheats again, he screws every one of you up your rear ends for the hateful comments on this board.
For those who said no wrong, this is not for you. As far as the rest of you, you’ve caused your precious Heaven one less soul – which is a shame because I was getting quite interested. I will have nothing to do with a group who hangs their “brethren” out to dry as you’ve done on this message board.

hey man I just want to say what you said is right. I’m 22 years and I’m a Christian and I can’t stand the way so called Christians act and what they say! Yeah he made a mistake so has everyone of us! romans 3:23 “for ALL have sinned” yeah its going to take him a long time to earn back the respect he lost, but it doesn’t take away the fact that his music has gotten me through a lot of tough times in my life, and theres no way someone can say that his songs aren’t spirit led because they are!!!!!! So I guess what I’m trying to say to you Chris please don’t let what so called Christians make you change your mind about Jesus! Hell is real and I believe that you don’t want to spend eternity there no one does!!!! I hope you give us REAL christians a second chance!!!

Hey Chris,
I agree with Brian. Christians are the biggest hypocrites in the world. But, that is what makes grace so good right? Sometimes people just don’t get that and look at some sins and moral discrepancies as worse than others. It sucks but Jesus didn’t care about what anyone did as much as what they are going to do about it. I happen to follow Jesus, not a religion. I pray that you keep Jesus in mind and give him a shot before you give us hypocrites the time of day. I hope that makes sense, I tend to ramble. Much love brother.

Chris,
If you are so upset with Christian hypocrisy and hate then why are giving so much place to hatred and bitterness? Don’t you see you are manifesting the same spirit and attitude as what you see in them? And if you think that Jesus is so gracious and wonderful and you recognize that these people aren’t being true to Him, them why are you letting them stop you from believing? If that ain’t hypocrisy I don’t know what is.
Brandon and Brian, don’t entrench yourself with that same spirit because you would be part of the problem as well.

It’s not about reaming Christians. Many of the arguments of people reaming this sinner are backlashes to their own account. You see, the reason you want nothing to do with “these Christians” is that they aren’t. They don’t want their fallen brother to be healed because the pill is too big to swallow. The fact of the matter is that if Steve Fee will ever be saved (and yes, that implies the belief that he has not received the salvation of God), he will have to realize that it is not a situation that “he has fallen like everybody else.” Yes, EVERYONE sins! But come on man, how many of us would call ourselves Christians if we did the exact same sin FOR 5 YEARS?! You see, Steve recognized that what he did was wrong. That’s why he did so well at hiding it. But THE LORD will find you out and expose it for the world to see if he continues to refuse. You have witnessed the revealing of a wolf, and we want nothing more than for him to be saved! Jesus said, “You shall know [the disciples] by their fruits.” Now, what kingdom work was he doing when he was betraying God for 5 years? Jesus also said, “A house divided cannot stand.” This is what happened.
You see, these people like Brian and Brandon want to respond to the anger at Christians. But there perceptions are slanted. These Christians on this page are not trying to raze Steve. Yes, many responded in anger at being deceived by this man. It is natural as a human emotion to feel upset when duped! It also puts in perspective the lack of discernment Christians have. And when Christians are lacking gifts of the Spirit, a good question to ask is, “why?” Because they are obviously also not partaking of the full benefits of a Christian life. So many gifts were promised by Jesus, and we stopped receiving them because the message was ripped of its soul. We called it cessation-ism and developed a whole doctrine to deal with our lacking. So is Steve’s falling our fault? ABSOLUTELY! For one, had we been obeying at the beginning then he’d never been put so high up on a pedestal only to have it yanked from him while a noose is around his neck! And to sum up this paragraph, Christians that are angry here are not angry at Steve. They are angry at the misinterpretations applied to his case as in Brian’s response with Romans. Brother, betrayal like what Steve is showing is not just sinning. It’s the recognition and covering up of it only to return to it like a dog to a bone.
These misinterpretations by the majority of the faith may make Steve feel better about himself, but it will never cure that hole inside him that yearns for intimacy–the kind that is witnessed in the arms of a lover: as is the case of the Songs of Solomon. And because of that while Steve may go to Heaven, it won’t bring a saving grace that is truly able to disciple others if he isn’t willing to accept the real truth of the gospel. Jesus saves; it is that simple. But the message isn’t for eternity, it is for now. It is the gaining of a prize that keeps the ambitious man satisfied, lustful man pleased, wanting man complete, and the prideful man humbled. That is how Christianity will conquer the world, not by telling a man “I saw your sin, you’ve been made whole.” No, you must tell them “to go and sin no more.”
I’m sorry that you have justified yourself in believing that all titles of Christianity are equally valid. And I’m sorry that this further proves your point. But don’t look at a generation of believers to figure out that this is what Jesus offered. He has said it himself, and it is available to you freely. In fact, learn what Jesus said and then ask yourself, “Am I witnessing what Jesus said in this mainstream generation of believers.” Then when you receive your answer, which WILL be a resounding “NO!”, ask Jesus what he really is saying. And “you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free!” Hallelujah!
Really quick and finally, “What kingdom work was Steve doing?” He was a worship leader: as if that is a title given to from God himself to his people. No, he was a poet with decent music. But listen to today’s worship songs. How many of them are not inscrutable? We let these musicians have free reign on music and there is really no depth to their words. You can witness this by noticing how every worship songs sounds pretty much the same. Every so often, there is the person who writes “on another level.” But, if God is our muse, shouldn’t their be unworldly depth to all things Christian? Food for thought.

I didn’t even read the top twenty comments and I can see that we are pretty split up in discussion. We have many opinions, and we should respect each others voice. Even though we do argue, as brothers and sisters in Christ, let’s try to be understanding. There’s no point to get theological on each other, using Bible verses for/against each other, because I know that we do it out of anger and frustration and not of love. If you really want to get detailed about what the Bible or studies say, go ahead. But I think that Jesus just wants our love, and when things go wrong, that’s life and a whole lot more of words I don’t want/need to express. Jesus and love is something I have come to “know” all my life, but this summer I really got to experience the fullness of it (well, as full as I can manage, for now, and I’ll be honest I’m just turning 18. And I’m telling you guys so maybe you guys would fit my age with what I have to say and see others around you with my age or however.)
I read a few comments in the middle, and I can also say that many of our words are of the same essence of Truth, and keep encouraging, to Steve, and to each other. (I just found this page by mistake while looking up one of his songs. I didn’t know this happened to him. But God loves always and you better believe it!)
As what this guy says, let’s give this a rest and pray for Steve.
“#
B August 23, 2010 1:54 pm
Impressive.
You people have spent 4 months talking about how sinful a man is.
You all must be theologians.
1 Corinthians 10:12 – for the perfect peeps
1 Timothy 2:11-12 – for the big mouth ladies (J/K… but seriously)
James 5:16 – for anybody who thinks this guy can be restored, pray for him. Give this stuff a rest…
Love, B”
And as for Chris (Sept. 21), the only word I can really give you is “love”. Love is everything, and it is why we won’t join you in hell (and why you have a chance to not be there either. But that’s something I can’t explain to you, so go find it. :] ) Yes, some people have said some things that didn’t need to be said, but many people want to support Steve. I know we are all judgemental, but God should be able to understand us (of course he should be able to!) and he loves us, so he would forgive because he knows what we feel. But I don’t want to keep going. I feel like I’m gonna say something wrong. But hey, you should know that people are different and have different view/opinions. So you could try to understand with everyone too.
To Steve Fee, you are not alone and many people are encouraging you. You are loved. :]
And I want to say that most of this is just my opinion. So if any of you think differently, that’s fine. God just please love all of us.

THIS. IS. RIDICULOUS. Folks, listen to yourselves. and after you do that, go read a different Chris’s comment on September 21. People before me have said this on this blog and ya’ll have just ignored them. Don’t do that again. I greatly respected Steve for his personal insight for me as well as his worship leading. Because of that, but even more so because I believe that he does have a relationship with Jesus Christ, I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt that he is working his butt off to work through this with EVERYONE IT CONCERNS. But you know who it doesn’t concern? US. As much of a bummer as it is, whether you are rooting for Steve or throwing him under the bus, IT’S NOT OUR DEAL guys! Let Steve work through his own junk and you work out yours. haha what if he started a blog about all of you? I have a feeling that would not go over so well. So, if i might say so, keep your opinion to yourself, don’t gossip, and PRAY. that’s right…PRAY. what? take Steve and his family before God? …fancy that.

Honestly, this is horrible to read – all the bickering here, and the information here.
I admit, I was wanting to find out what happened. Now that I have, I am disgusted at my own interest in this.
Please pray for this man, and his wife, that reconciliation can be found. Pray for their families, this church, and all involved.
Pray for the other family that isn’t mentioned much. The one with who he committed adultery with, and her family and children.
Pray for the leaders of NPCC to continue to have wisdom to handle this in the way that God is leading them. Try not to second guess what they decided.
Throw off the gossip that is easy to participate in.
And finally, we don’t need to know all of the details. Its sufficient to know that he had an affair, and that he has stepped back from leadership to seek healing and restoration. That SHOULD be the extent of discussion.
If you are at NPCC, then email and write to the leadership if you are dissatisfied with the way that it was handled. Approach them in person, but airing it here is a bad choice in my view.

I’m sure God is standing up applauding this whole thing. I’ll bet He’s never been more proud of His people.
To those of you who think you have a right to rebuke merely because you are a Christian, I won’t say that you don’t, but I will say that you can’t without love. Even if you speak TRUTH and it’s not in love, scripture says you’re a resounding gong and clanging cymbal…. just making a loud noise.
So I hope that each of you have personally called him to rebuke him, or are you just “biblically” rebuking him by telling us about it, because of course that’s the method Jesus gave us in Matthew 18- “If your brother sins against you, tell everyone but hims how wrong it is and how he probably isn’t a Christian if he messed up big. But never call him because, he’s finished. God doesn’t restore those who have sinned…ever. And if you show your brother grace, then you’re just a weak christian who probably doesn’t read the bible”
So listen, I implore you (i’m not being sarcastic) rebuke Steve Fee as much as you want AFTER you prayed for him with a sincere heart centered and rooted in love for him and his family, the kindness that leads to repentance, and the knowledge that rebuking for the most part is a private matter between trustworthy peers who probably wouldn’t discuss these things in a public forum. I mean, no one in my accountability group would go on Facebook and have a discussion about my sin and call it rebuking. They would rebuke me and then stick around for the repentance and restoration process. I’m sure none of you have any interest in that though.
But hey, I’m sure there will be a comment following talking about the rights you have to continually talk to us about Fee’s sin (and it was, I’m not belittling it) and i’m sure that you’ll feel great after you’ve made your points. But I ABSOLUTELY sure that none of you will try to contact him and tell him you love him, but what he did was wrong, but that you are willing to walk with him through his repentance. I have not done so, so I am not going to bash him if I can’t help restore him. I pray that all of your accountability partners are more loyal than all of you.
What he did was very wrong and confusing to the world and he will rightfully have to suffer the consequences of his actions. But I pray to the God of restoration (who’s already forgiven him… go figure) that He would restore his family, change his heart and that he would cling to the grace that saved me from my sin. Where sin abounds, grace abounds all the more. Praise God.
Well, have it “people of God”… I know you’re just itching to make a point…. without prayer.

You can’t rebuke someone who doesn’t even know you. That’s rediculous. LET ME SHARE ONE THING WITH ALL OF YOU GUYS: I am only 18. I was ‘saved’ at the age of 9. I didn’t live a Godly life. I went down a path of drugs, sex, and alcohol. Until I was fifteen. GOD’s spirit was inside of me… “I”, check that out, “I” ignored it. One day God got my attention in a church service. I went to church on Sunday and did this the other six days of the week. But He, in HIS timing, got my attention. AND GUESS WHAT: The fact that JESUS CHRIST died for me, WHILE I WAS A HYPOCRITE, while I WAS screwed up…. was so amazing. THAT’S WHY WE CALL IT “AMAZING” grace. And if GOD’S PEOPLE had of turned me away, or threw me out… I may not have found God’s grace when I did. I could be dead, a druggie, a drop-out. But God got my attention in a service that wasn’t much different than the one I attended every week. I was STEVE FEE. I know how it feels to carry so much guilt but not be able to get out of it. And it hurts so bad to see SO MANY PEOPLE think it is there place. GOD DOESN’T SAY, FIX YOUR LIFE THEN COME TO ME, HE SAYS COME TO ME ALL OF YOU WHO ARE BURDENED, ALL WHO NEED REST, AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST. HE —-FIXES OUR LIVES—–…….. WE CAN’T DO IT. YOU CAN’T DO IT. ONLY GOD CAN. If that’s not true, then Jesus Christ died for NOTHING. He hung on that cross for the sinner. YOU AND ME AND STEVE ARE THE SINNER. There is no measure on SIN. Have you ever lied? Your a liar then. Ever stole anything? Then your a thief. Ever lusted? Then your an adulterer. Yeah YOU, Christ died for you.
J

And “I” at a much younger age than most of you guys, understand that in a very real way. And if God has ever carried you through anything then you know that He has power. Let His power change Steve. Let his power change your outlook on grace. Let his power set you free from the bondage of judgement and guilt and shame and having to live a certain way. “If your alive and you’ve been set free, rise and sing, rise and sing. And if in your heart rings a melody.. rise and sing, rise and sing.” Seriously, we have hope in Christ, not damnation. Jesus WILL NEVER turn his back on us. Some of you guys are singing a melody and don’t sound like your free. Go back to the place where you have joy and hope and that was what you wanted to shout to the world. And carry that message to the broken. It’s salty, it’s contagious, and they will want it.

I find it utterly pathetic and disgusting that so called Christians would sit around bashing another Christian on the internet. Yes, he made a mistake. He admitted it, he lost everything because of it and he’s trying to move on. Is he not also allowed grace and mercy? Just because he was a worship leader and his songs were played on the radio, doesn’t mean he doesn’t also deserve a second chance. Perhaps more of you should actually read your Bibles and see what God has to say about forgiveness and repentance instead of making up ridiculous standards and rules that this man must live by. You are not the ultimate judge. Steve Fee does not have to answer to any of us. The only person he must answer to is God. Sin is sin. We all do it, most of us every day. Steve’s sin is not greater than yours or mine in God’s eye. He forgives and forgets. Case closed. Your validation or recognition of his true contriteness or where his heart is, is not needed. Get over yourselves.
And for those who haven’t read your Bibles lately, which clearly is most of you:
Matthew 7:1-5
“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
3″Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

There were a lot of godly people in the bible that sinned but God restored them and continued to use them..it does go to prove that no one is perfect, no matter how godly or how close you are to God..and though Steve fee made a mistake, that doesn’t mean you should be mad at him..we are all sinners..all sin is the same……if we are going to point fingers at Steve..we should look at ourselves first, seriously..I agree with anyone on the fact that we should be praying for Steve instead of criticizing him..because I am sure he is aware of everything he’s done..and I am sure he feels bad about it.

Hello,
As one who has listened to Steve Fee’s music and accept this young man’s desire to sing, there are several principals and points that should be addressed. As one who was called into the ministry over 24 years ago, I am STILL waiting for the Lord to open HIS doors and I know it is essential to wait on Him for as long as it takes for MY heart to be right and His name to be exalted. I have been waiting for 24 years for self to be completely removed so Christ alone can shine in my heart. I am not there yet and if it takes another 24 years, then I’m happy to wait.
I said all that to say the following: It is a tragedy to take these young singers with some ‘talent’, brainwash them into thinking they are ‘using’ their talent for the Lord, send them immediately into ministry and watch them fall. That is a sad, sad indictment against current leadership in the Church who do not understand that EVERYONE goes into the wilderness without exception.
Many get shoved into ministry positions because church bills need to get paid and/or people think they can make a living ‘selling’ some ‘talent’ they have to the world. They set themselves up for a fall and the ministers who encourage them to get up in front of the public, taking them away from the wilderness hurt them rather than help them.
To those who said we are not to ‘judge’, using Matthew or other Scriptures, my dear friends, we are told not to judge (krino in greek), but to discern (anakrino). By discerning, we see through the facade and realize that Steve Fee is only the tip of the iceberg. The lust and pride present in the so-called Christian music industry is very evident. You need not go far before you will see other young singers committing fornication.
But if Steve Fee will ever read this… if he truly is trying to make another album, someone please let him know it is a horrible mistake. He should accept his wilderness, go into obscurity, and let the Holy Spirit resurrect from the dead what satan killed through the deceitfulness of sin. Someone should let him know that at the point he does not receive the wilderness, he no longer is a minister of righteousness, but becomes an false ‘angel of light’.
To those who feel this should not be talked about publicly in Christian circles, that is not correct. Steve Fee chose to go before the public. Anyone who does that chooses the life of being in a glass fish bowl. It is NOT just between Steve Fee and God. It is between Steve Fee, God, and God’s Church, which we are. It MUST be dealt with publicly.
We should pray for Steve Fee and in praying for him, more than anything else, we should pray that he can go into the wilderness, accept the discipline of God, learn to love and be loved by his family, and forget about any kind of public life. Anything else exposes pride and hardness of heart. Please Steve, make the right decisions.
Sincerely,
John

Well said John. I totally agree with Steve going into obscurity and healing. The fruit of true repentance will be proven by his sexual purity and full commitment to his wife and His Lord. He won’t even want to step back into touting himself and having a hypocritical, double life. I hope that he will embrace true repentance to be truly transformed to the new life that doesn’t go on deliberately sinning (1 John 3).

I am a huge fan of Steve Fee and Feeband. Obviously, I am deeply saddened by news of his unfaithfulness and subsequent marital and family struggles.
As a Christian, I offer my heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Steve and his family during what must be an extremely difficult time. May the tender love and mercy of our God bring you all peace, comfort and healing. And ultimately may the gifts of forgiveness and everlasting love–that comes through our belief and love of Jesus –grow strong in your hearts and restore your lives.
As a fan of his message and his music, I will patiently await the hopeful day when Steve Fee will return to the stage to share an even deeper insight of God’s love and purpose for our lives. But most of all, I hope that the Lord will help console and counsel Steve and his family at this point in time.
“Glory to God, Forever”…
ps: does anyone know if there is a way to offer our support directly to Steve Fee?
God Bless

Just wanted to say let’s pray for healing and restoration. Satan tries to destroy this world with broken relationships, especially the brokenness we had with God before we accept Jesus. All these songs are God’s songs written by God through a man who made a mistake. Let’s pray that God heals him and his wife and let’s continue singing God’s songs, because He alone is the author and we’ll give Him all the glory for giving the musical abilities and the words that give Him glory!

Wow! That’s alot of chatter over a man’s personal problems w/his wife. Problems between God and his wife and none of us… and this is why people who are unchurched laugh at the Grace all you Worship leaders like to sing about.
Pray for the man and his marriage and then be silent. Don’t speak unless you can improve upon the silence. Spend your time reflecting on your own failings and your own relationship with God and you will have less time to spend on this guys issues. I know it’s a full time job for me.
The reason the Christian Church hasn’t exploded across the world is because all of you supposed perfect Christians view yourselves as God’s Supreme Court on earth. You are incabable of realizing that you haven’t been through one whole day without sin of some sort. I think some of you actually take pleasure out of this man’s issue just so you can take a moment to make some sort of point about your own perceived holiness.
Are you all going to be so arrogant as to assert that God can’t acheive His Will despite our failings or imperfections? My only boasting is that I have finally realized what a wretched rag and beggar I am. Let me give you all a question to ponder, regardless of this mans current relationship status w/God, if he leads you to worship, is God not still worshipped? During the previous 5yrs while his issues remained unjudged by all of you who don’t sin, was God not still worshipped under his leadership? If you all are waiting for a church leader w/o sin covered by God’s Grace then we just won’t have a church.

God bless you my brother Steve! Hang in there! Since Christ instantly forgave you, your biggest remaining battle will be pulling all the daggers out of your back from folks like Leah. Get back on that stage and make some more music!

Steve…that is nice of you to say to Fee…but I don’t think he needs to get back on stage and play some music. I think that would cause some division in the body as he probably needs time to heal and time to just sit back and reflect on his life and recommitment to his wife.

yea people say christians are hypocrites…and yea they are BUT where is the point from being human and making mistakes TO beicoming a hypocrite????? think about that question when u start finger-pointing at every wrong thing in this world…from getting mad about a worship leader having an affair to getting mad at christians who are pissed off at the situation…

I can’t believe my eyes. Christians are supposed to be supportive and understanding.
EVERYONE HAS SINNED! Don’t you get that! GOD HAS FORGIVEN US!
Why are you acting like hypocrites? I actually feel sorry for Steve! He has to deal with all of us critisizing his actions. Every single one of us has gone out of our mind some time and done something we regret. Can’t you atleast respect him because he had the courage to admit it?!

Oh, how disgusting… more proof that There are no more hideous Pharisees than those found in the evangelical Christian church today.
This type of ongoing character assassination and public smearing is why people flee from the typical self-righteous “church” Christian. Admit it, most of the flame-throwing judges on this boards are the very ones who made sure to gossip about this in every forum they could find. Pure class. The vile contempt that flows through some of these comments tells me far more about the posters than about Steve Fee.
Of course his sin was a big deal. Of course, it was a huge betrayal to God, his fans, his wife and others for him to sing praises publicly while sinning privately. What is absolutely incomprehensible to me is now, after the sin was confessed, that everyone feels so free to wax eloquently (or snarkily, in Leah’s case) about this person’s most personal life, yes, “public” though he may be.
My perspective is somewhat different, since my teenager is a huge Fee fan who turned her life around, largely through the Holy Spirit touching her heart through his music at The Walk in Panama City. I will forever be grateful of what Fee’s music helped to do in her life – results that continue to flower years later.
Steve is flawed – God’s Word is not. The truths found in Scripture and celebrated in Fee Band’s songs are still true, still relevant, and still have power. If Psalms says the rocks can cry out the glory of God, why not a flawed, penitent sinner? God forgives – Christians say “not so fast. Go sit in a dark closet until we say come out.”
I wish Reverend/Chaplain expert and his cohorts would lend our fallen brother a hand, and have a one-on-one with the Almighty and let Steven know when it would be permissible to use his primary talent for God’s Kingdom again – or perhaps, they know without said consult just how long this “wilderness” (you’ll pardon me for calling it by the name I think you actually mean – “exile”) should last … months, years, a lifetime? I guess since one of our posters has been waiting 24 years to be worthy of God’s call, he’d say give it a quarter-century plus, give or take. What a tragic waste. I don’t recall God telling King David after his adultery to step back and stay in the shadows. I do recall terrible grief, brokenness and tragedy following him from that moment through Absolom’s death – and the heartache no doubt lasted a lifetime. But I’m almost certain – no, make that ABSOLUTELY certain! – that David continued to praise God, privately and publicly, for the rest of his life.
I hope Steve, at some point in the not-too-distant future, does the same when the Spirit leads him to resume. When he does, I pray he doesn’t get too discouraged by the critics lambasting him.
As they’ve proven here, they’ll criticize and flog him at every opportunity, whether he stays silent or sings.

If Steve Fee ever does come back it will be more of an Amy Grant style come back. It will take years for the general evangelical public to forgive Steve and then he could have a contemporary Christian song on KLOVE if it still exsist by then.
Either way it’ll take a good decade before any church people would accept him back. Just like a Ted Haggard, Jimmy Swagger, Jim Bakker, Amy Grant, my old pastor, and hundreds of other church leaders in the world.
Steve Fee will never be as influential in his life again as he once was. That’s just the truth.
However, if Fee lives a normal, peaceable life he’ll be much closer to the first in heaven rather than the last.
Church celebraties, huge mega church pastors, and high paid Christian leaders will be at the end of the line when they go from this age to the next.
Jesus would much rather rule the world with a broken, humbled, messed up husband than a rock star worship leader. Worship leaders, awesome mega church pastors, and amazing teachers are good and wonderful for this life but they’ll be worthless in the next.
